CAN I WORK WHILE STUDYING IN CANADA?

Yes, you can work off campus and On campus while studying in Canada without a work permit if you’re a full-time student at a designated learning institution (DLI), you’re enrolled in study program is of at least 6-8 months in duration and leads to a degree, diploma or certificate, your study permit states that you can work off campus, your studies have commenced and if you have a Social Insurance Number (SIN).You can work for 20 hours per week while your study term is going on and you can work full-time in Canada for any authorized employer when on a scheduled break.

International students require a valid Canada student visa to be able to live and study in Canada for the duration of their course. So, to enter the country, the students must have a temporary Resident Visa provided by VFS Global Services that is the designated Visa Application Center for Canada Study Visa. Students from abroad must possess a study permit as well in order to study and work in the country. In certain cases, the study permit may expire before the completion of the course. In such a situation, the international students should apply for a renewal of the study permit at least 30 days before the current permit expires.
